With bawdy dockside shanties in Cramond and anguished laments in New Town drawing rooms, Aria Alba bring the ancient tale of Dido and Aeneas to the streets of modern Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Purcell's classic opera follows on from Aria Alba's performances last year of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. To be performed in Scotland's oldest purpose-built concert hall, St Cecilia's Hall, Neil Drew's imaginative production promises a moving experience for all. Check our listings for more details.
