Live screenings this year from the Royal Opera House continue with Giuseppe Verdi's rarely performed work, Sicilian Vespers (Les Vêpres siciliennes) being shown in the Thurso Cinema, Inverness's Eden Court, Aberdeen's Vue and Cineworld and Berwick-upon-Tweed's The Maltings. The season then continues with Parsifal (8 December), Don Giovanni (12 February 2014) and Manon Lescaut (24 June 2014).
As debate continues about the merits of live screenings from the great opera houses of the world, the team at Opera Scotland is convinced that these create new audiences rather than cannibalise existing ones. If you live within striking distance of these screenings, please support them!
