Background

As the title suggests, Four Sisters is inspired by one of the mossuccessful of Anton Chekhov's dramas.  The comic libretto Transplants the action from rural late 19th Century Russia to modern-day new York city.  The three sisters, instead of longing to move to Moscow, now look forward to a life away from New York and anywhere but Moscow.
