A one act opera by James Arnell. Written by Arnell himself for three characters with piano accompaniment, it has a simple story.
Helen lives with the boozy, balding and cynical Pierre under passably squalid conditions. Fed up with him, she nearly goes off with the virtuous Paul who offers her moonflowers, sobriety and a lifetime of married bliss in a house by the sea.
In the nick of time, she comes to her senses, sends Paul packing and rushes upstairs with Pierre.
