Mr Calcraft's Italian Opera Company

Mr Calcraft was the proprietor of the Theatre Royal, Dublin, who on this occasion assembled a company of artistes from their base in London. As a break from Irish operations, the company sailed to Scotland for performances in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, using the new railway to commute between the two cities, before returning to Dublin.
