Orazio Gualtieri Suggest updates

Italian baritone.

'Orazio Gualtieri was born in Turkey, but has spent most of his life in Italy, where he studied at the Venice Conservatoire of Music. His first appearance was as Scarpia in “Tosca,” and this was followed by equally successful performances as Germont in “Traviata.” In Italy he is also well known in the concert world, having appeared as soloist with many Symphony Orchestras under prominent conductors. Another aspect of his all round talents is his production of operas for the principal Opera Houses, productions which are remarkable for their artistry and intelligence.

In his first visit to England he will appear as Scarpia in “Tosca” and also as Germont in “Traviata.” '
