Italian soprano.
'Immediately following her successful debut as Gilda in "Rigoletto" at the Municipal Theatre, Bologna, Maria Grazia Forghieri received a five-year contract from the Directors Cappelli and Lanfranchi to appear in the most important Opera Houses in Italy. Her engagements abroad, in Spain, Portugal, France and Switzerland were always met with the greatest success. Her last season in Buenos Aires at the Teatro Colon, in "Rigoletto” and “Boheme” was an outstanding achievement for so young a soprano.
In England she will be heard as Gilda in "Rigoletto" and Musetta in “Boheme,” the roles in which she has made her name.'
