Austrian soprano.

Franzi Wachmann trained initially as a dancer, joining the Graz Ballet as a teenager. During further training in Vienna her voice was discovered, and she went on to sing light roles in Prague and Brno as well as Vienna. At the time of this British tour she was a member of the Stuttgart Opera.
