Cherise Lagasse was an apprentice singer with Santa Fe Opera before she moved to continue her studies in Europe. She trained in London, at the Royal College of Music, where her teachers on a Master of Performance degree included Amanda Roocroft.
Performances include Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, in a staging directed in 2015 by Sherrill Milnes in Prague (at the Estates Theatre where that masterpiece was premiered in 1787). While at the RCM she created the part of Dragon Priestess in Bel and the Dragon (Alex Paxton 2016). She sang the title role in Handel's Alcina at the 2016 Ryedale Festival, with further performances in London and at the Lammermuir Festival.
