Maira Vazeou trained in London, at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
She has worked extensively in Greek theatre, including the National Theatre of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki (Macbeth); Alma Theatre, Athens (Sweet Bird of Youth); Megaron Mousikis, Athens (Salvadores Dei); International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama, Cyprus (Antigone); National Theatre of Cyprus, Nicosia (The Three Princesses Who Sang and Danced) and National Theatre of Greece, Athens (Guernica).
Design credits in British theatre include the Secombe Theatre, Sutton (Edward Bond's Dea); Lilian Baylis Studio (Dancing with the Devil); Riverside Studios (Medea, Lysistrata, Antigone); Belgrade Theatre, Coventry (I'm a Minger) and a National and Australian tour (Chutney).
Operatic projects include the Ryedale Festival (The Merry Widow, Alcina); Hampstead Garden Opera (Xerxes, Albert Herring) and Finborough Theatre (Princess Ida).
