Joel Williams Suggest updates

English tenor.

Joel Williams studied History and was a choral scholar at King's College, Cambridge, appearing as a soloist in many of the Choir's recordings. He sang in a range of venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Sydney Opera House. He won the Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize at the Royal Academy of Music, and became a Soirée d'Or Scholar at the Royal College of Music, studying with Justin Lavender.

As a boy treble he appeared with the Royal Opera and ENO. At Glyndebourne he sang Cobweb A Midsummer Night's Dream and one of the Boys Die Zauberflöte.

Operatic roles at the RCM include Mr Upfold Albert Herring and Dr Blind Die Fledermaus. With Cambridge University Opera Society he sang Tamino. He appeared at the 2016 Ryedale and Lammermuir Festivals as Oronte Alcina.

His concert repertoire includes Handel (Messiah), Haydn (Creation) and Britten (Saint Nicolas).
