David Lynn studied at the Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama, privately with Robert Dean, then in Glasgow at the Alexander Gibson Opera School. He was a Northern Ireland Opera Young Artist 2015/16.
He has appeared with Wide Open Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera Theatre Company and Opera North. His repertoire includes Mozart (Ferrando); Verdi (Alfredo, Fenton); J Strauss (Alfred); Puccini (Pang); Britten (Quint, Flute).
Roles at RCS included J Strauss (Alfred Die Fledermaus); Martin (Kaherdin Le vin herbé); Milhaud (Maréchale Malheurs d'Orphée). With Byre Opera he sang Prologue & Quint Turn of the Screw. At Garsington he has been an Alvarez Young Artist, appearing as a Servant Capriccio. With English Touring Opera he has sung Malcolm Macbeth.
