Baritone.

Adrian Powter studied in Manchester at the RNCM before joining the chorus at Glyndebourne. He created the role of Philip in The Last Supper (Harrison Birtwistle) with appearances at Deutsche Staatsoper, Berlin, Glyndebourne and with the London Sinfonietta in Milan and Turin.

Operatic appearances in Britain include Bampton Classical Opera (Capulet Romeo and Juliet, Rocco Leonora); English Bach Festival (Plutone L'Orfeo); ETO (Masetto); Castleward (Schaunard); Carl Rosa (Giuseppe The Gondoliers). With Scottish Opera he sang Frank Die Fledermaus, Douphol, De Bretigny Manon; Taddeo Italian Girl, Benoit/Alcindoro.

Appearances abroad include Rouen (Abbot Curlew River); Cork (Peter Hansel and Gretel). He has also sung in concerts in China, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Singapore.
