Alexey Dolgov studied from 2001 at the Novosibirsk State Conservatoire (with Rimma Zhukova) and in Moscow at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire (where his tutor was Zurab Sotkilava, who sang Cavaradossi with Scottish Opera in 1982).
In Britain he has sung with Scottish Opera (Vaudémont Iolanta; title role Silvano; Hussar Mavra; Albert The Miserly Knight) and with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
He has appeared at the Bolshoi Moscow (title role Candide). Operatic appearances in Europe include Munich (Pinkerton); Liège (Lensky); Berlin Staatsoper (Steva); as well as Berlin Deutsche Oper; Madrid Teatro Real; Barcelona Liceu; Nice Opera, Baden-Baden Festival; Paris Théâtre des Champs-Elysées; Lucerne Opera; Athens Megaron; Brussels La Monnaie; Salerno and Trieste.
In America he has appeared at the New York Met (Lensky, Cassio Otello); Washington (Lensky); Seattle (Pinkerton) as well as Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles.
He has also sung in Tokyo - Saito Kinen Festival; Montreal and Tel Aviv (Rodolfo, Werther, Lensky).
