Simon Hannigan studied in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He appears frequently in concerts and recitals across Scotland and throughout the UK. and has sung regularly in the chorus for Scottish Opera for six years. He is a founder member of Paisley Opera, a new community-based opera company.

With Fulham Opera in 2016 he sang Fiesco Simon Boccanegra.
