Slovak soprano.
Lívia Ághová trained at the Conservatoire in Bratislava, making her debut as Donna Elvira. She was second prizewinner at international singing competitions in Prague (1986) and Munich (1988).
She became a soloist of the Slovak National Opera in 1985. In 1988 she was appointed as a soloist ofthe National Theatre in Prague, but continued to return to Bratislava for guest appearances. She also sang regularly at the Berlin Staatsoper.
In addition to several Mozart roles (Susanna, Donna Elvira, Pamina), her repertoire also includes Gounod (Marguerite), Bizet (Micaëla) and Puccini (Mimì).
She made her debut with Opera North in 1991, as Micaëla.
