Slovak tenor.
Jozef Kundlák became a soloist with the Slovak National Opera in 1984 and the following year won the Pavarotti singing competition in Philadelphia.
In Bratislava his repertoire has included light lyric repertoire by Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti. However he has also sung heavier parts including Verdi (Gabriele Adorno), Gounod (Faust), Borodin (Vladimir) and Dvořák (Prince in Rusalka).
Early appearances abroad included Mila La Scala (Elvino, Ferrando), Bologna (Nemorino), Venice (Tamino), Frankfurt (Count Almaviva), Stuttgart (Nemorino) and Phildelphia (Don Ottavio).
