Philip White Suggest updates

Musical director.

Philip White has been the Head of Opera at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow since September 2017.

He trained at the University of Leeds and in Glasgow, at what was then the RSAMD.  He next joined the Staff of Scottish Opera as a Junior Repetiteur.

He has worked extensively in Denmark and France  as Chorus Master (Royal Danish Opera, Opéra de Nancy, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Choeur de Radio France, Opéra de Lyon).  He was, for more than a decade Assistant Chorus Master at the Bayreuth Festival in Germany.

In Britain he has also guested as repetiteur and chorus master with ENO, WNO and Longborough.  He has been Head of Music at Grange Park Opera since 2015.
