During her visits to Scotland Miss F Huddart didn't seem to make much impression. However by 1861, Fanny Huddart was appearing in London at Her Majesty's Theatre, creating the role of the villainous witch Elsie (not the title role, but second lady), in the premiere of Vincent Wallace's most ambitious score, The Amber Witch.
