Amaya López-Carromero Suggest updates

Born Madrid.

Spanish mezzo-soprano.

Amaya López-Carromero studied classical piano, then from the age of 14 classical singing with the soprano Maria Muro (herself a former student of the great soprano Toti dal Monte).

After obtaining two masters degrees in engineering she developed her career as a songwriter. Amaya later attended an opera summer course in Glasgow, at RCS, returning to classical singing under the tutelage of Judith Gardner Jones.

She then completed a PhD in Musical Acoustics at the University of Edinburgh and is a choral scholar at MPC.
