Macarthur Alewel studied under Elem Eley at Westminster Choir College, graduating in 2018. Operatic roles there included Krusina The Bartered Bride and 2nd Commissioner Dialogues des Carmélites. Other appearances include Grand Harmonie (2nd Prisoner in Fidelio).
He is currently training in Glasgow on the RCS Masters in Opera programme, under Julian Tovey. He was awarded this year's Ye Cronies award and a scholarship from the RCS Trust.
