Spanish soprano.

Angeles Gulin studied in Spain then in Montevideo, Uruguay. She made her debut there at the age of nineteen, as Queen of the Night. In 1965 she returned to Europe, settling in Dusseldorf, where her roles included Maria/Amelia Simon Boccanegra and Salud La vida breve.

She won first prize in the Concorso Internazionale per Voci Verdiane di Busseto, and was immediately engaged by the Teatro Regio, Parma. She inaugurated the 1867-9 season there as Lina in the first modern revival of Verdi's Stiffelio.

Other early appearances included D'Albert's Tiefland at Carnegie Hall, New York. In Budapest she sang in Nabucco and Trovatore. Her debut at Covent Garden waa as Amelia Un ballo in maschera.
