Arnold Sundgaard Suggest updates

Died 2006.

American playwright, librettist and lyricist.

Sundgard studied at the University of Wisconsin and Yale Drama School.  During the Depression he wrote for the Federal Theatre Project.  He collaborated on operas with Douglas Moore and Kurt Weill, and on songs with Alec Wilder (some of those being performed by the likes of Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra).

He taught drama at several American universities and wrote for several periodicals, including The New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly.
