Sandra Dugdale Suggest updates

English soprano.

Sandra Dugdale studied in Leeds, then at the Guildhall in London. She made her debut with the Glyndebourne Tour as Despina, before joining ENO. She spent several seasons at the Coliseum, where she sang a range of roles ranging from Handel and Mozart to Penderecki. She also appeared frequently in operetta productions, including Adele in Die Fledermaus and the title role in Patience.

With Scottish Opera she appeared as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos. Her debut at Covent Garden in 1983 was in Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges as Fire and the Nightingale. She returned there as Adele in Die Fledermaus.
