Welsh baritone.

Richard Morris studied in London at the Guildhall School and in Canada at the Banff Centre.

He worked with several of the small British companies. With Travelling Opera he sang leading Mozart parts (Figaro, Don Giovanni, Papageno), and his roles with Crystal Clear Opera were Marcello and Malatesta. London appearances include several modern works at the Almeida, such as The Golem (John Casken) and Undivine Comedy (Michael Finnissey) as well as the Tempter in The Martyrdom of St Magnus (Maxwell Davies) at the South Bank Centre. 

Appearances abroad include the Celebrant in Bernstein's Mass at Boston, a role that he repeated in Prague. In France he has sung Dr Faustus in The Fiery Angel (Nancy) and Lt Redburn in Billy Budd (Toulouse).
