Scottish tenor.
Gordon Wilson studied in Glasgow at the RSAMD.
He has appeared with most of the major British companies. With Scottish Opera he created the role of Youngest Son in The Vanishing Bridegroom (Judith Weir) as well as singing Achilles in La belle Hélène.
Parts with Opera North include Young Guard King Priam, Don Antonio The Duenna (Roberto Gerhard), Rodolfo La bohème, Riccardo in Verdi's Oberto and Troilus in Walton's Troilus and Cressida. His debut with the Royal Opera Covent Garden was as Nathaniel The Tales of Hoffmann, followed by Captain Ricardo in Massenet's Chérubin. With Welsh National he sang Duke of Mantua Rigoletto, while at the Glyndebourne Festival he sang Hotel Porter Death in Venice.
His debut in Sweden was at the Drottningholm Court Theatre, in Philidor's Tom Jones.
