Patricia Howard Suggest updates

Australian soprano.

Patricia Howard spent two seasons in the company at Covent Garden.  In the season 1950-51 she sang 2nd Boy in The Magic Flute, Micaëla Carmen, and a Flower Maiden in the new production of Parsifal. She also created the role of a Shining One in the premiere of The Pilgrim's Progress (Vaughan Williams).

She moved to Sadler's Wells for the 1951-52 season, making her debut as Mimì. She also sang Etain in the first major revival for many years of The Immortal Hour by Rutland Boughton.  Over the next decade she sang a comprehensive range of the lyric soprano repertoire.
