Czech conductor.
Bohumil Gregor studied at the Prague Conservatoire. He began his career at the National Theatre, Prague, before moving to Brno. He then became musical director at Ostrava.
In 1963 he returned to Prague, where he concentrated on Janáček's operas.
Outside the Czech Republic he made frequent appearances in Stockholm and Hamburg. In 1969 he worked in San Francisco.
He conducted National Theatre, Prague stagings of Janáček operas at two Edinburgh Festivals, 1964 and 1970.
