New Zealand soprano.
Estelle Valery spent several seasons touring with Carl Rosa, snging a selection of lyric soprano parts, including Mozart (Zerlina); Berlioz (Teresa Benvenuto Cellini); Gounod (Marguerite) and Puccini (Mimì). Of particular interest is her achievement in taking on the rare feat of performing all four of the heroines in Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann - a challenge still very rarely attempted.
When the Carl Rosa company ceased operations, she joined Sadler's Wells for a relatively short period.
