Welsh baritone

Richard trained at the RWCMD, where awards included the Silver Medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians.  He has sung Foreman/Mayor Jenůfa (Opéra de Lille). With ETO his roles include Dr Grenvil La traviata, Sacristan Tosca, Arthur The Lighthouse, Emperor The Emperor of Atlantis, title role Gianni Schicchi and Don Alfonso. He has appeared at the Glyndebourne Festival as Benoit/Alcindoro La bohème, Dulcamara L'Elisir d'amore, Bosun Billy Budd, Doctor/Servant/Herald Macbeth, Helmsman Tristan und Isolde, Ser Amantio di Nicolao Gianni Schicchi, and the Shepherd Pelléas et Mélisande,  On the Glyndebourne Tour he has sung the title role Don Pasquale, Mayor Jenůfa, Le Dancaïre Carmen, Frank Die Fledermaus, and Dr Grenvil La traviata, For Raymond Gubbay (at the Royal Albert Hall) he appeared as the Sacristan in Tosca.  Future engagements include the Bosun Billy Budd (GFO and BAM)
