British baritone.
Nigel Boarer studied in London at the Royal Academy of Music. He then spent two years in France, singing with Opéra de Lyon and Opéra de Montpellier. Since then he has operated as a freelance singer throughout Europe working with companies including Zurich Opera, the Bayreuth Festival, Scottish Opera, Frankfurt Opera, De Vlaamse Opera Belgium, Monte Carlo Opera and Opera North. In 2012 appearances with Scottish Opera include The Rake's Progress and Tosca.
He has extensive experience in non-operatic roles. This includes the title role in The Ivor Novello Story, presented by Classical Musicians Scotland at venues across the country.
