Jennie Van Zandt
American soprano.
Jennie Van Zandt sang under her professional name, as Mdlle Vanzini. Her debut in 1866, in the role of Gilda, was at the New York Academy of Music, where she also worked in 1871.
The European element of her career included debuts at La Scala in 1868 and at Covent Garden.
After her own retirement from singing, she taught her daughter Marie Van Zandt (1858-1919), who also enjoyed a notable career.
