Wilhelmine von Klencke

Born 26 January 1783.

Died Geneva, 28 January 1856.

German librettist and poet.

Helmina von Chezy was a poet whose contribution has been largely blamed for the failure of two important works by their respective composers - Weber's opera Euryanthe, and the drama Rosamunde, for which Schubert composed his charming incidental music.
