Mr D Byndon-Ayres.

Tenor.

In 1909, at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, he sang Tallan, the innkeeper, in the British stage premiere of The Wreckers by Ethel Smyth, conducted by Beecham. During this and his 1911 appearances with Quinlan his name was styled as Mr D Byndon-Ayres. For the 1912 season with Denhof his stage name had been simplified to Byndon Ayres in Manchester, with the above form printed in Edinburgh.
