Australian mezzo-soprano.

Catherine Carby studied at the Canberra School of Music, then in London at the Royal College of Music.

In Australia she has worked with Opera Australia, Opera Queensland and Victoria State Opera. Concert appearances include the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

In Britain, she has appeared with the Royal Opera, ENO, ETO, Scottish Opera and the Buxton Festival. Concert engagements include Messiah at the Three Choirs Festival, as well as working with the Hallé, Royal Philharmonic, Royal Northern Sinfonia, City of London Sinfonia and Brighton Philharmonic.
