Born Krilo-Jesenice, 5 November 1923.

Biserka Cvejić was a principal mezzo with the Belgrade opera through the fifties and sixties. She sang leading roles with the company during its 1962 Edinburgh Festival visit.
She sang at Zagreb, Moscow, St Petersburg, Vienna, Covent Garden and the New York Met.
Cvejić preserved some of her solo parts on disc in 1955 when Decca made recordings of seven of the then-rare Russian operas. These include Borodin (Nurse/Polovtsian Maiden Prince Igor), Mussorgsky (Hostess Boris Godunov) and Tchaikovsky (Olga Eugene Onegin).
