Benjamin Bland studied in Manchester at the RNCM, then in London at the National Opera Studio, funded by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Peter Moores Foundation.

Early appearances include British Youth Opera (Leporello, Fernando Villabella The Thieving Magpie); Early Opera Company (Ariodate Xerxes); Opera Project (Figaro Le nozze di Figaro) and English Touring Opera (De Brétigny Manon).
