Born Salzburg.

Austrian mezzo-soprano.

Rosl Zapf studied in Salzburg and made her debut, aged nineteen, at the Salzburg Landestheater.

She made her first appearance with the Frankfurt Municipal Opera in 1949.  She also gave guest performances in Brussels,  Florence,  Lisbon,  Paris,  Rio de Janeiro,  Rome, and at the Salzburg Festival.
