Paul Curievici studied at the Guildhall in London with John Evans, winning British Youth Opera's Basil A Turner Prize.
Operatic appearances include British Youth Opera (Orfeo in Peri's Euridice, Sellem in The Rake's Progress); the Opera Group at the Young Vic (Sam Kaplan in Street Scene - also on a national tour, and at the Liceu, Barcelona and Châtelet, Paris); Royal Opera Linbury Studio (John Worthing in Barry's The Importance of Being Earnest); Garsington (Monostatos); Grange Park (Flavio in Norma); and Chelsea Opera Group (Evandre in Alceste, Giuseppe in La traviata, and Don Luigi in Maria Padilla).
With Scottish Opera he created the role of Stephen Foley in In the Locked Room (Huw Watkins) at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival, later repeating the part with Music Theatre Wales. He returned to Scottish Opera for the 2013 Edinburgh Festival staging of American Lulu, by Olga Neuwirth, a co-production with the Opera Group. In this he took the parts of Photographer and Young Man. He again appeared with Scottish Opera in the Spring 2014 national tour of Opera Highlights. He performed in the recording of Wagstaff's Breathe Freely, released in October 2015.
