Sioned Gwen Davies studied in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama abd at the National Opera Studio. Following the 2016 Welsh Singing Competition she represented Wales in the 2017 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. She had a season as a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist.
She made her first appearance with Scottish Opera in 2013 as Eduige in Handel's Rodelinda. Subsequent parts include:
Handel (Eduige Rodelinda); Mozart (Third Lady); Verdi (Lady in waiting Macbeth, Maddalena, Meg); Tchaikovsky (Olga); Sullivan (Kate, Pitti-Sing, Tessa, Kalyba); Puccini (Abbess, La Ciesca); Adams (Second Secretary Nixon in China); Dove (Stewardess Flight).
She has also appeared with the Scots Opera Project in works by M-A Charpentier (Daphne Actéon) and Bantock (Title-role Seal-Woman).
