Romanian conductor.

Gheorghe Stanciu trained in Romania at the Music Academy of Galati and the Conservatoire at Iaşi. He first conducted at the Constantsa Opera in 1976, becoming Artistic Director of that theatre in 1998. He has also toured to Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Russia and Bulgaria, in addition to making several UK tours with the Ellen Kent organisation.
