English soprano.

Sally Matthews studied in London at the Guildhall, where her tutors included Cynthia Jolly and Johanna Peters. She then joined the Young Artists Programme at Covent Garden from 2001-3, and was an early member of the BBC Radio 3 New Generation scheme from 2002-4. Her professional debut, at the Royal Opera in 2001, was as Nannetta in Falstaff, conducted by Bernard Haitink.
