English theatre, film and television designer.

Michael Knight spent part of his early career as a theatre designer in Glasgow, at the Citizens' Theatre. He later assisted the director Sam Wanamaker and the designer Sean Kenny on several productions including the Lionel Bart musical Blitz.

He worked for Scottish Opera on the company's first Ring Cycle with performances running from 1966 to 1972. He later returned for Fiddler on the Roof in 1979. Between those he worked with Sadler's Wells Opera, designing their production of Lohengrin.
