Peter Lyon spent several seasons at the beginning of his career with Scottish Opera.  He toured extensively with Opera For All and also appeared in full-scale productions. 

During this time he covered principal roles with the main company.  In 1971 he 'went on' as a late replacement for Thomas Hemsley as Faninal.
