Swedish soprano.

Erika Sunnegårdh studied at the International Vocal Arta Institute, Tel Aviv, then in the USA at the Tanglewood Music Center, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Aaron Copland School of Music, New York.

Operatic engagements in Britain include Welsh National (Salome) and Glyndebourne (Lady Macbeth), as well as Leonore with the Opéra de Lyon at the Edinburgh International festival. Other appearances include the New York Met (Turandot, Leonore), Tokyo (Salome), Bologna (Salome), Geneva (Chrysothemis), Barcelona (Salome) and Vienna Staatsoper (Lady Macbeth).

In Sweden she has sung at Stockholm (Tosca) and Malmö (Turandot, Jenufa, Paulina in the premiere of Johan Forssell's Death and the Maiden). Operatic work in Germany includes Berlin Deutsche Oper (Turandot, Tosca), Munich (Salome, Lady Macbeth), Frankfurt (Leonore, Tosca), Cologne (Leonore, Senta).
