Catrin Aur Suggest updates

Welsh soprano.

Catrin Aur trained in Cardiff, at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and in London at the Royal Academy of Music. She returned to Cardiff to study at the International Academy of Voice.

Prizes won during this training period include the English Song Prize at the RAM, the Geraint Evans Scholarship, Elias Soprano Prize and Dame Shirley Bassey Award. She also won the W Towyn Roberts Scholarship at the 2009 National Eisteddfod and was joint winner of the 2013 National Wagner society Singing Competition. 

Scottish Opera appearances: Kate Pinkerton Madama Butterfly.

She gave the world premiere of Scottish Opera Composer in Residence Gareth Williams' the song the stars, the blossom in June 2014. 

Operatic appearances in London include the Royal Albert Hall (both Priestess and title role in Aïda), London Festival Opera (Pamina) and Opera Project (Musetta). She appeared with Mid Wales Opera as Donna Anna and Lady Billows. Her debut with Scottish Opera in 2014 as Kate Pinkerton was followed by Lady Macbeth.
