Armenian bass.
Arshak Kuzikyan studied singing at the Yerevan State Conservatory; in Glasgow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; and in Cardiff at the Wales International Academy of Voice. He won first prize in the Pavel Lisitsian & Talevik Sazandaryan National Voice Competition in Armenia and the Les Azuriales International Singing Competition in France. He was recipient of the Independent Opera Postgraduate Voice Fellowship 2015 from Sadler's Wells. He is a Samling Artist, making his debut at the Wigmore Hall at the 2015 Samling Showcase. He is a Georg Solti Foundation scholarship holder.
Roles at RCS included Monteverdi (Time & Neptune Return of Ulysses), Mozart (Figaro, Publio Clemenza di Tito), Puccini (Rambaldo La rondine) and Vaughan Williams (Falstaff Sir John in Love). Appearances at the New Generation Opera Festival include Mozart (Masetto) and Donizetti (Dulcamara).
At Grange Park he has sung Gounod (Duke Roméo et Juliette); with English Touring Opera Mozart (Voice of Neptune Idomeneo).
