Moldovan baritone.
Petru Racovita trained at the Chisinau Music Academy. He has worked in Belgium, Italy, Spain and France, as well as appearing at the Bolshoi in Moscow.
He has toured Britain several times with the Ellen Kent organization, with a repertoire that includes Verdi (Nabucco, Germont, Amonasro); Bizet (Escamillo); Leoncavallo (Tonio); Mascagni (Alfio); and Puccini (Marcello, Sharpless, Scarpia).
At the Royal Albert Hall he sang in La traviata and Aïda. His repertoire also includes Silvio in Pagliacci and Renato in Un ballo in maschera.
