Sorin Lupu trained in Cluj-Napoca at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy. In 2004 he was appointed as a soloist with the Cluj-Napoca National Opera. He has since performed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France and Holland. His repertoire ranges from Mozart (Don Ottavio) to Verdi (Ismaele, Duke of Mantua, Alfredo, Radamès); Bizet (Don José); Puccini (Rodolfo) and Mascagni (Turiddu).
