Russian mezzo-soprano.
Victoria Yarovaya was awarded a scholarship from the New Names Foundation and graduated from the Academic Music College at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory as a pianist. Her postgraduate vocal studies were at the Opera Centre under Galina Vishnevskaya, and at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, where she worked with Alberto Zedda. ln 2013 she was the winner of the Mercedes Vinas Prize in Barcelona at the Francisco Vinas International Singing Contest.
Appearances in Britain include the Glyndebourne Festival (Tisbe Cenerentola, Second Nymph Rusalka); Glyndebourne Tour (Tisbe, Hansel) and Scottish Opera (Angelina Cenerentola).
